SIDEARM Sports Partners With a Dozen New Schools

ICS welcomes 12 new schools who have begun development of new athletic websites powered by SIDEARM including Carthage College (Wis.), Elizabethtown College(Pa.), Elmhurst College (Ill.), Grambling State University (La.), University of Hartford (Conn.), Lindenwood University (Mo.), Lincoln University (Mo.), Marietta College (Ohio), Minnesota State University-Mankato, Morehead State University (Ky.), Westminster (Utah) and University of Windsor (Ont.).
SIDEARM is a web-based content management solution that includes everything from press release and roster management, dynamic scoreboards, sponsorship recognition, interactive polls, SIDEARM DMG (Digital Media Guide), SIDEARM STATS (live in-game statistics), streaming audio and video, photo gallery, online storefront, blogging, podcasting, SMS alerts, newsletter and recruiting components, mobile website version, and much more!!

Carthage (Wis.)
Carthage is the fourth member of the NCAA Division III College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin to use SIDEARM joining Illinois Wesleyan University, North Central College, Wheaton College and Elmhurst who also signed with ICS recently to build its athletic website.
Carthage is a private college of the liberal arts and sciences, affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Located midway between Chicago and Milwaukee, Carthage's picturesque campus on the Lake Michigan shore is home to approximately 2,375 full-time and 720 part-time students.
Carthage awards the Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in more than 30 subject areas, and the Master of Education degree. Carthage also hosts the joint Executive MBA and Master of Social Work degree awarded by Loyola University Chicago.
The Carthage faculty comprises nearly 100 scholars, 90 percent of whom hold the doctorate or other terminal degree. Carthage was founded in 1847.

Elizabethtown (Pa.)
Elizabethtown is the Albright is the 13th member of the NCAA Division III Middle Atlantic Conference to become a part of the ICS family joining Alvernia University (Pa.), Delaware Valley College (Pa.) DeSales University (Pa.), FDU-Florham (N.J.), King's College (Pa.), Lebanon Valley College (Pa.), Misericordia University (Pa.), Widener University (Pa.) and Wilkes University (Pa.) all with sites powered by SIDEARM, while Albright (Pa.), Arcadia University (Pa.) and Lycoming College (Pa.) are in the development process of building their SIDEARM sites.
The Blue Jays athletic program is steeped in tradition fielding intercollegiate athletics since 1928. EC currently fields sports including baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, field hockey, men's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track & field, women's volleyball and wrestling.

Elmhurst College (Ill.)
With 18 varsity sports, Elmhurst is the fifth member of the NCAA Division III College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin to use SIDEARM joining Illinois Wesleyan University, North Central College, Wheaton College and Carthage who also signed with ICS recently to build its athletic website.
Elmhurst is a charter member of the CCIW, which was founded in 1946, which also includes Augustana, Millikin and North Park). The Bluejays are impressive as both athletes and students. In the last decade, Elmhurst teams have won conference championships in five sports. The volleyball and men's basketball teams have advanced deep into NCAA postseason play. (Back in the 1980s, the volleyball team won two national championships.) Elmhurst student-athletes have earned individual NCAA All-America honors in cross-country, wrestling, and track and field. What's more, athletes from six sports have earned Academic All-America honors, and three teams have been honored for their academic achievements.
Elmhurst is a private liberal arts college affiliated with the United Church of Christ. Founded in 1871, the College has a long history of preparing students for lifetimes of professional achievement. Elmhurst ranks among the top colleges in the Midwest, according to “America’s Best Colleges,” the survey by U.S.News & World Report. The Princeton Review also lists Elmhurst among the region’s premier institutions of higher learning.
The College is located in Elmhurst, Illinois, a quiet suburb that ranks Number 1 in a Chicago magazine survey of the “best places to live.” Downtown Chicago is a 30-minute train ride away. The Elmhurst campus is a 38-acre, registered arboretum. It boasts more than 600 varieties of trees and shrubs—and all the modern facilities required of scholarship today.

Grambling State University (La.)
Grambling State University becomes the fourth member of the NCAA Division I Southwestern Athletic Conference to become a part of the ICS family joining Alabama A&M, Alabama State and Arkansas Pine-Bluff.
Intercollegiate athletics has also made Grambling State University a household name among national universities. The football program has been successful in landing prominent a coaching staff over the years. Professional football player, Doug Williams, a Super Bowl Most Valuable Player, served as head football coach, succeeding Coach Eddie Robinson, the “winningest coach in the history of football.” Known as the “Cradle of Pros,” Grambling also produced the first black football player in the NFL and the first black quarterback to start in the NFL.
One of the most popular campus organizations is the Tiger Marching Band, touted as the number one collegiate show band in the world. Formed in 1926 by President R.W.E. Jones, the Mighty Tiger Marching Band has become a household name. The band has been featured in television ads, the major motion picture Drumline, appeared as guest entertainment on televisions shows, and entertained Liberian President William R. Tolbert at his 1972 inauguration. In 1999, the band was selected to represent the Pageantry of Bands section of the NCAA Hall of Fame. Through an impressive list of accomplishments and honors, the Grambling Tiger Band has become known as “The Best In The Land.”
Grambling State University emerged from the desire of African-American farmers in rural north Louisiana who wanted to educate Black children in the northern and western parts of the state. The 375-acre campus is nestled in the heart of Grambling, Louisiana, a small but growing community located in Lincoln Parish. The University is five miles west of Ruston and is within easy driving distance of the large cities of Shreveport and Monroe.
Grambling State University combines all the strengths of a major university with the personality of a small college, thereby allowing students to grow and learn in a serene and positive environment.

University of Hartford (Conn.)
Hartford is the first member of the NCAA Division I America East Conference to join the ICS family with a site powered by SIDEARM.
Hartford fields sports including baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, men's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track and field and women's volleyball.
At 52 years of age, the University of Hartford is young as universities go. Yet its roots go back more than 130 years, when Hartford city residents with famous last names like Stowe, Clemens, and Colt founded the Hartford Society for Decorative Art. That society later evolved into the Hartford Art School, one of the three founding colleges incorporated as the University of Hartford in 1957.
Today’s University of Hartford has surpassed the founders’ original but modest plans for a local university in Hartford, becoming instead a vibrant and growing institution that draws 7,400 students from 45 states and 49 countries. The University of Hartford has become a university for the world.

Lindenwood University (Mo.)
Lindenwood joins an expanding list of NAIA partners and is the first school from the Heart of America Athletic Conference to become a part of the ICS family.

Lincoln University (Mo.)
Lincoln is the second member of the NCAA Division II Heartland Conference (also an ICS client) joining the University of Incarnate Word (in development) with a site powered by SIDEARM.

Marietta College (Ohio)
Marietta is the second member of the NCAA Division III Ohio Athletic Conference to power their site with SIDEARM joining John Carroll University.

Marietta College was founded nearly two centuries ago in Marietta, Ohio, the first settlement in the Northwest Territory. Initially charged with educating youth in "all the various branches of the liberal arts and sciences," Marietta College has continued to blend a strong curriculum in these areas with selected career-oriented programs.

Minnesota State University-Mankato
Minnesota State University, Mankato is the seventh member of the NCAA Division II Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference to become a part of the ICS family joining Augustana (S.D.), MSU-Moorhead, Northern State, Southwest Minnesota State, and Wayne State (Neb.) and Winona State.
The University also offers 22 intercollegiate men and women's sports activities including: hockey, volleyball, soccer, softball, tennis, golf, swimming, football, cross country, basketball, track and field, wrestling and baseball.
MSU has become a destination for those seeking higher education. The University is experiencing its highest enrollment in a decade with more than 14,000 students enrolling in fall 2003. In addition, 1,300 faculty and staff; approximately 600 international students who represent 70 countries; and more than 94,000 alumni from around the world are proud to be a part of the Mavericks tradition.
Founded in 1868, MSU is a four-year, comprehensive university in south central Minnesota approximately 85 miles from the Twin Cities. The University provides high-quality education with 24 programs accredited by national professional organizations. In addition to quality, variety is one of the many attractions at MSU which offers more than 150 programs in six undergraduate colleges, and 82 programs in the College of Graduate Studies. Morehead State University (Ky.)
Morehead State is the fourth school from the NCAA Division I Ohio Valley Conference to build a site powered by SIDEARM joining Eastern Illinois University, Eastern Kentucky University and Jacksonville State University (Ala.).
Athletically, the University sponsors 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women in accordance with the regulations of the Ohio Valley Conference, the Pioneer Football League and Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. MSU also supports an intramural program involving more than 25 team and individual sports. Our coed cheerleading squad has won 18 national championships and the all-girl squad has six national titles.
Meeting the educational needs of East Kentucky while striving to constantly improve the quality of its public service, economic development and applied research programs are the primary objectives of Morehead State University. Founded in 1887 as Morehead Normal School, more than 9,000 students from 100 Kentucky counties, 42 states and 37 nations comprise the institution's enrollment.

Westminster (Utah)
Westminster is the first member of the NAIA Frontier Conference to join the ICS family building a site powered by SIDEARM.
The Westminster College Intercollegiate Athletics program is an integral part of campus life serving more than 250 student-athletes annually. The athletic progam has experienced both regional and national success over the years, with national championships, national tournament appearances, conference titles, All-Conference and All-American academic and athletic honors. The athletic program has a rich tradition, storied history and many athletic alumni dating back to 1928.
The Griffins athletic program consists of 15 varsity and club sport teams and is a member of the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) Division I level. Men's and Women's Basketball, Cross Country, Golf, Women's Volleyball and Women's Soccer compete in the Frontier Conference with schools from Montana and Idaho. Men's Soccer competes as an NAIA independent (no conference affiliation). Men's Lacrosse is a member of the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) and competes in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference (RMLC). Women's Lacrosse competes in the Rocky Mountain Women’s Lacrosse League (RMWLL) which is part of U.S. Lacrosse and the Women’s Division Intercollegiate Associates (WDIA). Men's and Women's Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding compete in the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA). Alpine skiing competes as a member of the Grand Teton Conference.

Western Ontario is the fourth member of the Ontario University Athletics joining Queen's University, University of Toronto and University of Western Ontario with sites powered by SIDEARM.
The University of Windsor fields varsity teams in basketball, cross country, football, hockey, soccer, track and field, and volleyball.
